The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, received the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey today, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, with whom he discussed the possibilities for improving cooperation between the two countries in that area.

Minister Ersoy conveyed President Erdogan's greetings to President Vučić. Returning the greetings, President Vučić expressed satisfaction with the achieved high level of bilateral relations between Serbia and Turkey, as well as gratitude to President Erdogan for his personal engagement in strengthening the Serbian-Turkish cooperation. He pointed out that Serbia is determined to continue building good relations with Turkey. He also stated that tourism is a mirror of those good relations, because tourists from Turkey spend the largest number of nights in Serbia, while Turkey is among the most popular destinations for tourists from Serbia. President Vučić expressed hope that, despite the currentCOVID-19 pandemic, positive trends in tourism will continue.

The two interlocutors proposed concrete measures to improve tourism activities between Serbia and Turkey, and they also discussed opportunities to increase the level of investments in the field of tourism.
