Prime Minister Ana Brnabic talked today with newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Serbia Hami Aksoy about bilateral political relations, economic cooperation and the results of current projects that Serbia is implementing with this country.

Brnabic said that she is extremely satisfied with the fact that there is a growing interest of Turkish investors in our market, especially in underdeveloped parts of Serbia.

The participation of Turkish companies in infrastructure projects is of great importance, among which the construction of the Sarajevo-Belgrade-Sarajevo highway stands out.

The Ambassador of Turkey stated that about a thousand Turkish companies are currently operating in Serbia and that this number will increase, thanks to the good market conditions and the financial stability that Serbia has achieved.

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the Turkish state for the help and donations in medical supplies and protective equipment during the pandemic, as well as for the cooperation in the mutual evacuation of citizens.
