The final match of the Balkan Championship between rugby teams Ankara Phrygians and Radnicki Novi Beograd was played on Saturday June 1, 2019. The sponsor of the event was the British Embassy in Ankara and Serbian Ambassador H.E. Mr. Zoran Markovic opened the match.

This sports event once more confirmed the great relations between Serbia and Turkey, especially having in mind the efforts of the Rugby Federation of Serbia which selflessly contributed to the promotion of rugby in Turkey.
