On the occasion of the National Day and Armed Forces Day of Serbia, a reception was given in the Residence of the Ambassador of Serbia in Ankara hosted by the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia H.E. Mr Dusan Spasojevic and Defense Attache Mr Goran Milosevic and their  spouses Mrs. Justine Anne and Mrs. Mirjana.

Over 300 invitees attended the reception, among them, state officials, diplomats, eminent journalists and representatives of Turkish scientific, cultural and artistic life.

Honorable guest of the National and Armed Forces Day reception was H.E. Nabi Avci, Turkish Minister of National Education and Co-president of Serbian-Turkish Mixed Economic Committee.

A numerous members of Turkish Parliament from various political parties attended the celebration of the National and Armed Forces Day, including Prof. Dr. Seyit Sertcelik, president of the Turkish-Serbian Friendship Group in Turkish Parliament.

The officials of the Turkish Armed Forces came in great number, led by the Undersecretary in the Ministry of National Defense Lt. General Umit Dundar. Among other guests, there were a lot ambassadors, Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials, so as the ex Minister of Foreign Affairs H. E. Hikmet Cetin.
