Minister of Defence Dragan Sutanovac attended the meeting of Defence Ministeries from SEDM Countries, which took place on October,  2nd  and 3rd  in Antalya, Turkey.

In the margins of the Meeting, Minister Sutanovac met with the Minister of National Defence of Turkey, Ismet Yilmaz.



The main topics of the Meeting, also attended by Ambassador Spasojević, were the development of bilateral cooperation in the area of defence between Serbia and Turkey and the conversion of  the military airport “Morava”.

After the Meeeting with his Tukish counterpart,  Minister Sutanovac said that the conversion of the military airport “Morava” near Kraljevo, which is being carried out together with the Turkish side, would be finished by the end of this year with  the first civilian flights expected in early 2012.

“In the last four years, Serbia has built exceptionally good relations with Turkey in the area of defence,” Sutanovac assessed.

Minister Dragan Sutanovac also expressed that Ministries of Defence from the SEDM Countries, who attended the regional Conference in Antalya, support our stand that the final solution in Kosovo and Metohija would be reached in a peaceful manner through dialogue.
