The Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Mirko Cvetković paid a two-day Official Visit to the Republic of Turkey, during which he met top Turkish Officials and a number of representatives of leading Turkish companies.

Prime Minister Cvetković started his visit with a wreath laying ceremony at the tomb of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, after which he met the Chairman of the Grand Turkish National Assembly, Mehmet Ali Sahin.

Prime Minister Cvetković met his counterpart, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who organised a dinner in his honour.



During the visit the two governments signed two agreements – a Security Cooperation Agreement and a Cooperation Agreement in Environment Protection.
After the meetings, the two Prime Ministers expressed their satisfaction with the high level of political relations between their two countries and agreed to further improve bilateral economic cooperation, which has huge potential.
During the second day of the Visit, Prime Minister Cvetković visited Istanbul, and delivered the opening speech at the Business Forum, which gathered representatives of Serbian and Turkish companies. Business opportunities of Serbia were presented at the Forum and areas for economic cooperation between the two countries were discussed as well.


At the end of this Visit, Prime Minister Cvetković was received by Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople Bartholomew.
In the Delegation of the Republic of Serbia, headed by Prime Minister Cvetković, were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Ivica Dačić, Minister of Labour and Social Policy Rasim Ljajić, Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Oliver Dulić and Minister without Portfolio Sulejman Ugljanin.
